Luis Gaitán

Post-publicist born in Mexico, he grew up and studied his entire advertising career in France, graduating with a Master in Marketing and Advertising Strategy at the University of Paris Pantheón-Assas. There he began his career as a creative working several years in agencies such as Lowe Lintas, J. Walter Thompson, Publicis and LittleBig.

In 2007 he join DoubleYou Barcelona where he immerses himself in the digital world as a creative director and adding his offline advertising experience participates in the agency's rise as a benchmark for Ibero-American integrated advertising.

In October 2011, after 20 years in Europe, he moved to Mexico to found the first DoubleYou headquarters in the Americas, taking on the challenge of turning it into an advertising reference in the country, from his position as Creative General Director.
In just two years he managed to position DoubleYou in the Mexican market, building his client portfolio and his creative prestige. With two Grand Prix in two years, he placed DoubleYou in the top ten of the most creative agencies in Mexico in the Círculo Creativo 2013 and placed the agency as number 1 in the ranking of the best digital marketing agencies in the IAB awards Connect 2014.

Winner of Cannes, One Show, New York Festivals, the Sun, FIAP, the Eye of Latin America, Eurobest, EFFIE, IAB, Quorum and the Golden Circle among others, with 7 Grand Prix achieved in different disciplines, is responsible for the first León de Oro in Cyber ​​in the history of Mexico with the ColorMaps campaign of Comex. Recognized as one of the most respected creatives in the industry, his particular understanding of digital media has led him to be a jury and speaker at the most prestigious festivals in Latin America as well as a columnist in different publications.

In 2014 he joined J. Walter Thompson Mexico as Creative General Director adding the responsibility of Chief Integration Officer, to lead the mutation of the agency and inject digital thinking from strategy and creativity, giving service to all brands.

In 2015, he joins Proximity BBDO as General Manager and maximum creative leader of the agency, assuming in parallel the role of Chief Integration Officer of BBDO. A very sweet professional experience that culminated in May 2016 when Google invited him to join the company as Head of Creative for Mexico and SpLatam, supporting from his position several countries promoting campaigns and creative projects from technology and innovation for the 50's. advertisers and most prestigious brands in the region.

Between December 2016 and January 2019 he also assumed the presidency of the Círculo Creativo de México.

From December 2018 he joined Uber as Executive Creative Director Latam with responsibility over all the company's creative product and the construction of the brand for the entire region.
