Ricardo Barrueta

Ricardo has 25 years of experience in the market intelligence industry, which he has accumulated after studying the Actuarial Degree and a diploma in Applied Statistics at the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM).

He currently works at GfK, a leading market research company focused on helping intelligent decision making, where he holds the position of General Manager for Mexico. He has developed most of his professional experience leading multinational companies in the field of market intelligence.

Ricardo plays an active role in the industry through the Market Intelligence and Public Opinion Association (AMAI), where he was President during the 2008-2010 biennium and for several years has been part of the Board of Directors. Similarly, he has participated in the Council of groups related to the world of marketing as IAB or Effie awards.

Convinced that the world lives in constant transformation and that continuous innovation is fundamental to face the future, he recently obtained the Certification in Creative Leadership and Facilitation for Innovation, in the Center for Certification in Creativity, endorsed by the International Center for Studies in Creativity of The State University of New York, Buffalo State.

In his obsession to understand where the world will move with the imminent digital proliferation, he has become an apprentice of twitterers under the alias of @Bar_Rueta.
