Ric Blaxhill

Ric started his career at Radio 1 as producer of the breakfast show before being appointed Producer Top of the Pops and TOTP2. Ric then left broadcasting to work as A&R Director for Independiente Records moving back into broadcasting. Ric was Producer for SMTV Live and Producer for ITV’s Friday Night's All Wright series.
After producing The Pop Years for Sky Ric moved back into radio as Group Creative Director at Capital. Ric was then offered the Head of Programmes role at BBC 6Music.
In 2007 Ric joined Bauer Media and is now Music and Content Director for Planet Rock, Kerrang!, heat radio and Scala Radio.
Ric has judged and chaired industry awards including The Sony Awards, Brit Awards, Mercury Music Prize, The Arias, The BBC Gillard Awards, BBC Sound of Poll, The Radio and Production Awards and The Ivor Novello Awards. In 2014 Ric was awarded a Fellowship of the Radio Academy.
