Ali Hanan

Ali Hanan has worked in adland for more than 15 years at some of London’s top digital agencies on some of the world’s biggest global brands.

Over the years, she noticed how little the industry – and award panels – have changed in terms of female representation. Her research with recruitment agencies revealed how few women make it to CD level, despite starting out in nearly equal numbers. In London, just 14% of CDs are female.

Her hope is that with more female CDs curating the ads women see, we may create a new type of advertising that inspires female consumers, portraying a strong, positive image of women in the media.

Over the last six months, she’s engaged the support of adland’s top female and male creative leaders and industry organisations, including WACL, D&AD, Creative Circle and more.
