Cat Jones

Cat's TV writing credits include JUDGE DEE (Bandit), EASTENDERS, DOCTORS, (BBC) WATERLOO ROAD (Shed/BBC), YOUNGERS 2 (Big Talk) for which she also wrote a music track, TATAU (Touchpaper/BBC). Cat also wrote FLEA, one of three original short films commissioned for BBC iPlayer. In 2014, Cat wrote and co-directed a short film called CUSHY, which won the Yorkshire Short Film Award at the Leeds International Film Festival. In 2015 her second short, LITTLE BIG HOUSE was filmed as part of Creative England's ‘iShorts+ Funny Girls’ scheme. Cat has a number of original projects in development including a drama for BBC Inhouse, HMP, PENALTY for Bandit Productions/Green Door, based on an idea by Idris Elba and SPRAY for Hillbilly. In 2011, Cat won the BBC Alfred Bradley Award for Radio Drama with GLORY DAZED, which she subsequently adapted for the stage. GLORY DAZED was produced at Edinburgh Fringe Fest 2012 as part of the Old Vic New Voices season, winning the Holden Street Theatre Award.
