Owen Hanks

Owen is an digital entrepreneur, passionate about driving growth in early and mid stage media companies.
Having worked for two media giants, with two successful acquisitions (one as CEO and founder), one IPO and one ‘fail’ under his belt (you can ask him which one personally) his experiences have provided him with a clear grasp of what make a successful hyper growth company.
Owen has 20+ years experience in the media (print, TV, digital, mobile), advertising and technology industry, the last 15 have been in senior management roles with companies such as the BBC, BSkyB, Open…, Rhythm New Media, YuMe and is currently General Manager International at Kargo.
Owen prides himself on taking educated risks- having been an early pioneer of interactive TV, mobile and video advertising, often several years ahead of the market.
He is a regular public speaker, commentator and evangelist for the digital media industry and is passionate about developing the next generation of media superstars.
