James Best

James is a Trustee of The History of Advertising Trust, Chairman of CAP and BCAP, the Committees of Advertising Practice; of Credos, advertising’s think-tank; and of creative agency BDA. He was Chairman of BMP DDB from 1989- 2000 and a member of the DDB Wordwide Board from 1991 to 2007, during which time he held a number of senior roles in the network.

He has served as a member of the Advertising Standards Authority Council, as Chairman of the UK Advertising Association and as President of the European Association of Communications Agencies, and is a Fellow of the IPA and a Trustee of the Deborah Hutton Campaign which runs the Cut Films awards.
