Jo McCrostie

A graduate of art and drama school, Jo McCrostie is a champion of effective and original audio advertising. She started out at Capital Radio as a production assistant, and now heads up the award-winning creative department at Europe’s biggest radio group, Global Radio, whose leading brands include Capital, Heart, Classic FM, Smooth and LBC.

Together with her team she has created ‘commercial roadblocks,’ takeovers featuring faux ads, a series of live ads performed in front of a studio audience and a campaign powered by social media. In 2014, Jo spearheaded Global’s EdFest project, which gave creative agencies and clients access to the huge pool of talent performing at the Edinburgh Festival.

Jo has served on many international radio juries, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, Clio’s and the London International Advertising Awards where last year, she was chair of the radio and audio jury.
