Communications are fragmenting with a greater number of channels and formats than ever before. With the lines blurring between traditional agency disciplines, who owns the right to be creative? MEC explores how to bring about creativity through collaboration in a world where the ‘Big Idea’ is no longer the preserve of a single ‘Lead’ agency.

Traditionally it's believed in our industry that a 'good idea' can come from anywhere. Yet our inherent prejudices dictate the ‘Big Idea’ should be owned by a single lead agency. Technological advances are forcing us to change those prejudices and work towards a common goal. Does ownership even matter anymore? MEC’s Chief Strategy Officer, Verra Budimlija and Head of Content, Jamie Toward, examine the changes that are being wrought across the marketing and creative services industry and how collaboration will become the new norm with co-ownership moving to the fore.
This session will also bring together a panel from all sides of the debate;
Alistair Campbell, Creative Director, Guardian Labs
Dan'l Hewitt, Managing Director, Maker Studio
Craig Mawdsley, Joint Chief Strategy Officer, AMVBBDO
Jamie Toward, Head of Content, MEC
