Stephen Kehoe
Stephen Kehoe leads global reputation for Edelman, a global practice area which spans public affairs, corporate communications and other related services.
Stephen’s experience spans 25 years at the forefront of international communications and reputation management. He joined Edelman from Visa Inc., San Francisco, where he was Senior Vice President of Global Financial Inclusion, a business-led, shared value initiative focused on driving Visa’s growth in emerging markets and delivering social impact. Prior to this, Stephen was head of corporate communications for Visa’s markets in Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa, based in Singapore.
Before joining Visa, Stephen was at PepsiCo in New York, where he led global public policy, communications and government relations’ campaigns, as Vice President Government Affairs & Public Policy. In this role he was prominent in PepsiCo’s Performance with Purpose team, and led international marketing, communications and public policy programs focused on the transformation of the food and beverage industry’s response to regulatory challenges around marketing, advertising and food labelling. In addition, he led PepsiCo’s government affairs and corporate communication teams across the European Union, Russia and China.
Prior to his 15-year corporate positions with Visa and PepsiCo, Stephen spent 10 years in leading agency roles, with Weber Shandwick in Washington, DC and with APCO in the UK and Brussels. He began his career in the European Parliament and worked for several years in the aerospace industry. He was formerly Deputy President of the World Federation of Advertisers, Founding Chairman of the International Food & Beverage Alliance, Member of the Chinese Academy on Financial Inclusion and served on the Advisory Board of the Alliance for Financial Inclusion.
