Guy Matthews

Guy Matthews is Managing Director and Head of Public Affairs for Citi’s Emerging Markets cluster in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He was appointed to this role in July 2022 and is responsible for enhancing and protecting Citi’s reputation across 29 countries in the region.

Prior to this he was Head of Corporate Affairs for Citi in Australia and New Zealand, a role he held since July 2015. In this role he was responsible for the media relations, social media, government relations, internal communications, community relations and events across all of Citi’s businesses in Australia and New Zealand. In 2017, Guy also oversaw the Corporate Affairs function in China. Prior to returning to Australia, Guy was Chief Corporate Affairs Officer for Citi in Japan, a role he held since January 2010.
