My name is Alexander, but you can call me Alex. I live in New York City and report on gaming, esports, and the metaverse for Digiday.

Before joining Digiday, I spent four years as a freelance writer for the Washington Post, ESPN, the Nation, and a slew of other national and regional outlets, websites, and now-defunct blogs. I also worked as an associate media editor for the independent book publisher W. W. Norton & Company.

I am affiliated with the Asian American Journalists Association and the Society of Professional Journalists.
