John Sintras

John is a transformative leader with over 30 years of global and local media, marketing and board experience.

Following various leadership roles with Leo Burnett, for many years John was the Chairman and CEO of Starcom Mediavest Group in Australia, in addition to holding global network roles including Global Director of Product and Strategy, and Chair of the Global Product committee. John also held a global role based in NY with IPG’s Mediabrands, where he was President of Global Business Development and Product Innovation. On returning to Australia, John joined SBS as Chief Content and Audience Officer, before joining new digital bank start-up Alex as Chief Growth Officer. Most recently he launched neo-management consultancy Discidium.

John is about to commence a new leadership role with Mutiny Group as President, US & Multinational, responsible for scaling their innovative technology platform which drives superior marketing effectiveness and business growth outcomes.

John has also been a passionate contributor to the media and marketing industry, having sat on numerous industry and not-for-profit boards over his career. In 2012, John was the inaugural inductee into the Australian Media Federation Hall of Fame and was also named “Marketer of the Year” by The Australian Marketing Institute. He has chaired and been a director on boards and associations including The Media Federation of Australia, AANA, Ad Standards Bureau, Oztam, Audit Bureau of Circulation, and the St James Ethics Committee. John currently sits on the boards of major NFPs including Cerebral Palsy Alliance Australia, the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation in the US, and Outside the Box Studios.
