Peter Holder

In an almost 40-year career, Peter Holder has worked extensively across newspapers, magazines and digital as a reporter, writer, editor and publisher. A copyboy on The Australian before landing a cadetship at Fairfax, Peter would go on to become the founding editor of GQ Australia before launching Sydney Confidential for the Daily Telegraph in 2000. He then spent a decade as editor and publisher at ACP/Bauer Media, where he oversaw a wide and varied portfolio (Ralph, FHM, Woman’s Day, TV Week and Cleo, among many others) before finally running the Hearst International-Bauer Media joint venture, as publisher of Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar and ELLE. It was during this period that Peter also co-authored celebrity agent Harry M. Miller’s autobiography, published by Hachette Australia. He has been managing director of Daily Mail Australia since 2015.
