Edwina McCann

Edwina McCann has been the editor-in-chief of Vogue Australia since 2012 and in 2018 Edwina was also appointed Editorial Director of the Conde Nast brands in Australia encompassing Vogue, Vogue Living and GQ.

With more than 20 years’ experience in the luxury fashion market, Edwina is one of the most respected and highly regarded editors in Australia, appearing on the Business of Fashion 500 every year since 2014 and in 2015 topped B&Ts list of the ‘30 Most Powerful Women in Australia Media’.

After starting her career as a fashion assistant at Vogue, Edwina moved onto fashion-related editorships at The Australian, WISH and Grazia before joining Harper’s Bazaar Australia as editor-in-chief. As the editor-in-chief of Vogue Australia, Edwina has worked to increase digital engagement and ensure Vogue is at the forefront of digital innovation across its multiple platforms, catapulting the brand into the new age of media consumption.

In July 2016, Vogue Australia launched VOGUE CODES, an initiative that encourages women to be empowered by technology and become the creators of the digital future.

Edwina joined the UTS Business School Advisory Board in 2014 and in 2017 was announced as a board member for The Australian Ballet and chair of The Australian Ballet Foundation Board

Edwina is co-chair to the Australian Fashion Council and is a council member of Australia’s Nation Brand Advisory Council.
