Craig Foster

Craig Foster is a former Socceroo captain, ambassador for human rights, and one of the most respected broadcasters, commentators and contributors to football in Australia. When not covering the women’s and men’s FIFA World Cup™ with the award winning SBS Sport team, Craig works in social justice and is a refugee and human rights ambassador with Amnesty. He also sits on the Australia Committee for Human Rights Watch, Advisory Board of the Australian Institute of Human Rights, UNSW and the Australian Multicultural Council, Federal Government. Craig recently spearheaded a campaign to free a young player, Hakeem al-Araibi, from Bangkok Remand Prison, creating a global movement and leading a coalition of organisations across sport and human rights to a successful resolution. As a life member, former CEO and Chairman of PFA (Professional Footballers Australia), Craig remains a prominent advocate for the beautiful game and its social impact on Australia.
