Kayla Beckwith is a second-year MBA Candidate at the Raymond A. Mason School of Business at the College of William and Mary. Her career aspirations focus on the dynamic sports, CPG, and entertainment industries, particularly in roles related to marketing, PR, and brand management.
Beyond the classroom, Kayla plays on the Varsity women’s basketball team, served as Vice President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), and is the student-athlete representative on the William & Mary Athletics Foundation Board. She recently founded and currently serves as President of the first Black Student Athlete Alliance at W&M. Her mission is to empower Black student-athletes, helping them realize their full potential, and emphasizing that they are valuable individuals beyond their sport.
Kayla’s work experience includes internships with Anheuser-Busch, ZIYNX, and The Coca-Cola Company. At Coca-Cola, she served as a Global Marketing Category Intern on the Sparkling Flavors team, focusing on Fanta and Sprite. She contributed to the development and execution of creative marketing strategies and designed innovative, Gen Z-focused campaigns that aligned with brand objectives.
Kayla’s journey is rooted in a passion for helping others. She believes in the power of sports and education to transform lives and inspire positive change. Committed to making a difference, she aims to leverage the unique platform of sports to uplift and empower individuals.
