Brittany Slattery
Brittany Slattery is an executive known for being a purpose-driven, empathic leader with a strong record building brands; helping organizations scale in seasons of high growth and change; and crafting powerful narratives delivered through high-impact programs. Equal parts visionary, strategist and change agent, Ms. Slattery is the connector, often serving as the grit and glue that makes ideas happen.
Ms. Slattery is currently Chief Marketing Officer at OpenAP, the advanced advertising company owned by Fox, NBCUniversal, Paramount and Warner Bros Discovery. She joined OpenAP from Comscore and has held senior marketing and communication roles at several top-tier digital agencies, including Interpublic Group's Huge Inc. and Publicis Groupe agencies SapientRazorfish, Razorfish Global and Rosetta (now part of the Publicis Sapient umbrella). Ms. Slattery began her career as a journalist, working as an editor, producer and reporter for local TV and radio outlets in Ohio. In 2008, she interviewed then presidential candidate, Barack Obama. She also spent time at the Cleveland bureau of PR Newswire.
Most notable of her accomplishments less evident on her resume is that Ms. Slattery is self-made. Growing up in rural Ohio as the granddaughter of Yugoslavian immigrants, she was the first in her family to graduate from college; the first to work in a NYC skyscraper; the first in her family to have the proverbial ‘corner office.’ Recently during one of the most demanding periods of her career, she experienced profound family loss. It was during this time she truly demonstrated what makes her an effective leader, as well as an empathetic and passionate mentor – her ability to maintain perspective. Ms. Slattery has a demeanor that can calm a room and evokes a quiet confidence that inspires others. She skillfully navigates even the most sensitive, high-pressure scenarios with professionalism, grace and care, effortlessly building trust and respect among all those who she encounters. The humility she’s demonstrated makes her an inspiring case study for what’s possible for young women today.
Outside of work, Ms. Slattery is an avid traveler, proud wife and toddler boy mom, a Brooklyn Heights city dweller, and active member of the women’s business community.
