Misha Sher

Misha Sher is Global Head of Sport, Entertainment & Culture at Essence Mediacom, an award-winning sports & entertainment marketing division of GroupM (WPP Group).

Industry veteran who has been at the forefront of the sports industry for more than 20 years, Misha has negotiated and advised on more £1B in sponsorship investments and activation with major sport & entertainment properties, including UEFA, IOC, NFL and F1 in more than 25 countries.

He has worked with world’s leading brands like Toyota, Coca-Cola, eBay, Google, Uber, Richemont, American Airlines, Shell and Allianz in building powerful cultural platforms and represented some of the most iconic athletes like Pele, Brian Lara, Mesut Ozil, Vinicius Jr and Alessia Russo in building their personal brands. He has been a big advocate for investment in women’s sport and female athletes to reflect their increased relevance and importance in popular culture.

Misha co-authored one of the industry’s leading books on entertainment marketing, The Art of Branded Entertainment’ and his opinions are regularly featured in leading media outlets including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, BBC, Fortune, CNN, Sky, CMO, The Drum, Marketing Magazine and Sport Business International.
