Carrie Hutchinson

Carrie Hutchinson has 20 years of marketing, brand, and communications experience in the nonprofit and media sectors. She was an instrumental part of the team that helped launch the Re:wild brand in 2021, and continues to develop campaigns and strategies that help build awareness about the importance of the wild as well as enlist the support of influencers and brands aligned with Re:wild’s mission to protect and restore it.

Prior to Re:wild, Carrie was an independent consultant for organizations including Lonely Whale, Georgetown University, NPR affiliate WAMU, and National Geographic Magazine. She also served as Director of Corporate Communications for the National Geographic Society, where she worked with executives and explorers to tell their stories through conference appearances, media, social media, donor engagement, and thought leadership. She lives in the Washington, D.C. area with her partner, their three children, and little white dog.
