Rithesh Menon

Rithesh is the Managing Director of the Webby Awards. Previously, he was a fractional strategy and operations leader for fast growth social content start-ups (Brut. & Courier Newsroom) and brands (TripAdvisor). Prior to starting his own consultancy, he led Strategy & Monetization at Upworthy, helping scale its revenue 9x in 18 months before its acquisition in 2017. Earlier in his career, he worked for The Guardian News & Media Group, helping to build out its in-house branded content studio in New York, and serving as co-publisher for Guardian Sustainable Business. Rithesh is a StartingBloc Social Innovation Fellow, and a strong advocate of refugee rights, serving as a New York GenR Leader for the International Rescue Committee (www.rescue.org).
