Sharon O’Sullivan serves as Chief Revenue Officer at OZY Media. In her role, she is responsible for revenue across OZY.com, its TV series, podcasts, newsletters, events, and in social. By working with OZY’s existing advertisers, including JP Morgan Chase, Discover, Netflix, Anheuser-Busch, and Lufthansa, she helps deepen connections between brands and OZY’s Change Generation while constantly pushing innovative solutions to improve clients’ results.
O’Sullivan came to OZY from Discovery Communications where she served in several roles, including her last as Executive Vice President, Client and Brand Partnerships. There, she oversaw revenue strategy, sales marketing, and the cross-platform client solutions team. Prior to this role, she served in many client and agency direct sales roles, including Executive Vice President, National Advertising Sales, overseeing ad sales efforts direct with a multitude of clients and agency partners across Discovery’s portfolio of assets.
Before Discovery, she held sales positions at ESPN, Fox, and CBS. Sharon reports to OZY’s Co-Founder and CEO, Carlos Watson. Based in New York City, O’Sullivan received her BS in Marketing from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business. In 2012, Sharon was named one of Adweek’s ‘Top 50’ List of Influential Players in the Media Industry, was named as a “Woman to Watch” by Ad Age in 2015, and from 2013-2016, as one of CableFAX’s “Most Powerful Women in Cable”. An avid yogi and experimental gluten free cook, she resides in Summit, New Jersey with her husband, Danny, and their three children.
