Sharmilan Rayer

As VP, Audience and Programmatic platforms at NBCUniversal, Sharmilan Rayer is responsible for architecting and commercializing advertising products that leverage data and automation. In addition to leveraging NBCU's first party data through audience targeting products, his team is also focused on scaling programmatic offerings across NBCU’s entire footprint of premium display, short form video, long form video and live linear advertising inventory.

Prior to NBCU, Sharmilan spent six years at Microsoft Advertising where he was responsible for driving monetization though use of automation, data, and yield management technologies across Microsoft's global digital advertising business. Sharmilan joined Microsoft via the acquisition of digital yield management pioneer, Rapt Inc., where he advised digital media publishers on monetization strategy and advertising technology.
