Carter Murray

Carter Murray is the worldwide CEO of FCB, an IPG-owned, global, fully integrated marketing communications company with more than 8,000 people in 109 operations across 80 countries.

Together with Global Chief Creative Officer Susan Credle, Murray is leading FCB’s transformation to become a creatively led agency known for delivering Never Finished ideas that are both legacy making and equity building, for such marketers as NIVEA, Mondelez, Clorox, Anheuser-Busch, Levi’s and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.

Prior to FCB, Murray was the president and chief executive officer of Y&R Advertising North America and the chief marketing officer at Publicis Worldwide in Paris. He has spent much of his career helping a diverse roster of marquee clients develop and manage brands across marketing disciplines and regions, at one point driving double-digit growth for Nestlé across 80 markets.

Adweek named Murray to its “Power 100” list of the top industry influencers in 2015 and 2016, and Advertising Age honored him as one of its “40 Under 40” in 2014. In 2017, the 4A’s recognized Murray as one of its “100 People Who Make Advertising Great.”

An industry thought leader and brand expert, Murray has been featured in top-tier media outlets, such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and CNBC’s “Power Lunch” segment, and he has delivered keynotes at some of the world’s most influential conferences and events.
