Cary Tilds
Cary Tilds is the SVP of Digital Strategy for FordDirect where she is responsible for the broader digital strategy for FordDirect, which includes but is not limited to execution and operation of innovation technologies to support business transformation, technology integration, data, analytics, and machine learning.
Previously, Cary was GroupM’s Chief Innovation Officer, responsible for identifying consumer technologies impacting digital media platform strategy to ensure GroupM agencies continuously led with world-class expertise and solutions. Cary developed GroupM’s technology roadmap and enabled GroupM as a power user of search, social, mobile and emerging digital platforms, often referred to as the “tech stack.” She collaborated with GroupM’s worldwide technology group and digital specialists to leverage game changers in digital marketing.
Before that Cary led Digital Media Operations for Mindshare North America, ensuring clients received best-in-class digital thinking and execution. She provided strategy and vision for the integration of people, process, systems, media opportunities and technologies that made Mindshare’s digital strategies smarter and more efficient.
Earlier, Cary worked on macro digital strategies for Unilever North America. From 2007-2010, Cary was the Leader of Digital Media Operations for Team Detroit, leading a team of digital media strategists to guide and implement digital strategies for many clients including Ford’s Tier 1 and Tier 2 business divisions.
Cary was also the Director of Search for PHDiQ, PHD’s centralized digital buying groups, where she founded the search buying practice.
Cary’s earlier career included 10 years at Entertainment Publications, an Interactive Corporation Company where she honed client management, database marketing and multi-platform communications skills. Cary holds a BA from the University of Michigan in Western European Studies and an MBA from Wayne State University.
