Heather J. Brunner is Chairwoman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of WP Engine. With over 27 years of technology expertise, Heather has helped create billions in value, driven customer success and led business strategy and global expansion for both privately-funded new ventures and Fortune 500 companies.
Prior to WP Engine, she served as COO of Bazaarvoice, seeing all stages of early, rapid global growth, through to IPO and two acquisition integrations. Before Bazaarvoice, Heather served as Chief Executive Officer of Nuvo, a wholly owned subsidiary of Trilogy. She previously held executive roles at leading technology companies, including Chief Operating Officer of B-Side, a privately funded entertainment technology company, and various leadership roles at Coremetrics, Trilogy, Concero, Oracle and Accenture.
Heather holds a bachelor’s degree in international economics from Trinity University, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Camden Property Trust (NYSE: CPT), Localeur LLC and the Entrepreneurs Foundation. Heather served the Greater Austin United Way from 1999 - 2016, serving from a field volunteer all the way to a two term Board Director.
Heather received the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2017 Central Texas Award for Technology. The Austin Chamber of Commerce awarded her the 2016Executive Leadership Award, sponsored by KPMG. She was named “Best CEO” in 2015 by the Austin Business Journal and also received a Silver Stevie Award in 2015 for Female Executive of the Year.
