Lieutenant Colonel John Caldwell, National Director of Marketing and Communication Strategy for the Marine Corps’ recruiting command, provides program leadership, vision and fiscal oversight in support of more than 3,700 Marine recruiters, commanders and support personnel assigned to two regional and six district headquarters, 48 recruiting stations and myriad substations nationwide.
His office is responsible for delivering 20+ percent of new, annual contracts via its awareness and lead generation programs; and the development and implementation of objective-driven, research-based communication campaigns to leverage the organization’s synchronized engagement potential.
He has served more than 24 years on active duty in the Marine Corps with service including operational deployments to Kosovo and Iraq; an overseas assignment in Okinawa, Japan; and multiple stateside tours, including two within the Pentagon where he led the service headquarters’ news and social media operations.
