Laura Petrecca

Laura Petrecca is USA TODAY’s senior editor of special projects and New York City bureau chief. She is a seasoned newsroom manager with extensive writing, editing, social media and video experience. Laura has managed teams at top news organizations and has produced thousands of articles. Previously, Laura was the editor of USA TODAY’s Money section and earlier in her USA TODAY career, she was a breaking news and business reporter. Prior to those roles, Laura was the Sunday business editor at the New York Post, a senior editor at wellness magazine Prevention and deputy New York City bureau chief at the trade magazine Advertising Age. Laura has a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University and a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Maryland.
