AICE

AICE is the marketing communications trade association whose members are independent creative editorial, design, visual effects, color grading and audio post production companies. It is dedicated to the advancement and promotion of these companies and the essential role their services play in the media creation process.

Headquartered in New York, AICE maintains chapters there and in Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, San Francisco and Toronto. The work of its member companies represents a significant segment of the post production marketplace for ad agencies and global advertisers, giving it a strong voice in the ongoing dialogue between agency creatives producers, clients, independent cost consultants and media distribution companies.

Among its signature events are the AICE Awards, which highlights creative excellence among its member companies in a variety of content, media and craft categories, its Hall of Fame, which honors individuals who have contributed significantly to the advancement of the post production arts; and its Camp Kuleshov trailer-editing competitions for assistant editors, visual effects artist, motion graphic designers, audio mixers and sound designers.

Rapid advances in post production technologies have created an array of new tools which have significantly broadened and enhanced the capabilities and influence of the artists working at AICE member companies. Our members have been in the forefront of this evolution, researching, testing and adopting the latest tools and technologies to meet new creative challenges and create new opportunities for their clients.

As a trade association, the AICE's mission includes the following:

-Represent the interests of all facets of the post production community within the advertising industry.
-Develop and publish industry standards, best practices and recommended procedures.
-Facilitate dialogue on key issues with agencies, advertisers, media companies and suppliers.
Educate advertising agencies and advertisers on all aspects of the editorial and post production process.
