Jason Bier

Jason is the President of the Federation for Internet Alerts (FIA) and EVP at marketing services network and FIA partner Engine Group. For the past six years, Jason has been involved with a volunteer team, leveraging ad tech to save lives through improved alerting infrastructure. In 2011, Jason led the development of an automated emergency response for AMBER Alert which leverages online dynamic banner display technology to automatically geolocate and replace online ads with AMBER Alerts on behalf NCMEC. In 2012, Jason led the development of the first automated emergency response for tornado warnings. In 2015, Jason helped move forward the FIA Alert Hub, a free cloud service that provides robust scalability, availability, performance and reliability to the alerting community. Through 2016, FIA has reached over 200 million smartphones, notebooks, desktops and laptops computers with AMBER Alerts to the public and the Hub has processed over 500,000 alerts globally since July 2015.
