Mary Barra

Mary Barra is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of General Motors Company. She was elected Chairman in January 2016 and has served as CEO since January 2014.

Barra began her GM career in 1980 as a co-op student at General Motors Institute (Kettering University), graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering in 1985. She also holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Barra is a member of the board of directors at General Dynamics and the Detroit Economic Club. She is a member of the Stanford University Board of Trustees and the Stanford Graduate School of Business Advisory Council.
