Marta Martinez

One of Madison Avenue's original Math Women, Marta is a consummate early adopter. She's followed the digital revolution all over the world and made a career out of using technology to power high performance advertising, usually before her competitors knew what hit them. At AOL, Marta is Global Head of AOL Video Sales, where she oversees all sales and strategy efforts to accelerate AOL’s leadership in video, providing the global holding companies and top brand marketers with AOL’s powerful and market leading video solutions across all screens.

Marta joined AOL in February 2013 as Head of Sales Strategy and Operations, leading AOL's specialist sales teams in development and packaging of global advertising solutions and guiding the development of sales force effectiveness initiatives. Prior to AOL, Marta lead Business Development, Operations, and Marketing at MediaMath where she pioneered the transformation of Madison Avenue from Mad Men to Math Men and Math Women. With her talent for simplifying even the most complex ideas, Marta was one of the earliest in the industry to use data to understand consumer behavior, identify opportunities, optimize campaigns and to ultimately create a totally new breed of marketing professional. Prior to MediaMath, she lead Corporate Development at Havas where she developed their trading desk, exploring how automation and real time could lead to better buying decisions and more efficient campaigns. Excited by the prospect of using technology and data to deliver both advertising and media consumers love, Marta is a driving force of innovation and simplification across AOL's advertising business.

Marta earned her MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University and an MS in Business Administration from ESADE in Barcelona. She and her husband live in White Plains, NY with their two children. She is a passionate advocate for women and in particularly women in tech. In addition to her love of world travel, Marta likes to ski, bike and do yoga – although presumably not at the same time.
