Armed with creative confidence and a fresh perspective, Katherine provides an authentic voice for the burgeoning advertising space in and around user-generated content (“UGC”). Most recently, Katherine completed a successful spinout from GenArts, Inc. and created Vivoom, the first In-UGC advertising platform. Built to meet a growing, multi-billion dollar need in the social and mobile marketing space, offers marketers a highly effective mobile ad unit that seamlessly weaves brands into the context of user-generated behavior based on where they are (location) and what they love (follow socially) via the Vivoom app.
For the past six years, Katherine has served as CEO for GenArts, Inc. Since joining in 2008, she has more than doubled the company’s number of enterprise customers.
Prior to GenArts, Katherine was the co-founder and COO/CFO of In-game advertising network, Massive Incorporated, where she took the company from business plan through two rounds of venture capital funding and eventually sold the company to Microsoft in 2006. Katherine stayed at Microsoft for two years as part of the acquisition and was then recruited by Insight Venture Partners to be CEO of GenArts.
