Rob Horton is the Director of marketing for PPG Architectural Coatings North America, formerly AkzoNobel Decorative Paints North America.
Prior to joining AkzoNobel in 2004, Horton managed brands at leading consumer packaged goods companies including Nestlé and Coca-Cola.
At Nestlé, he was the marketing director for the Stouffer’s brand, a $1 billion-plus brand – and its largest in the U.S. – where he led a successful repositioning effort of a major sub-brand, grew market share four points, and led the development of a creative strategy for the business resulting in some of the top scoring commercials in the brand rotation. He also held the position of marketing director of innovation where he was involved in the development of seven key innovation platforms to fuel revenue growth.
At Coca-Cola, Horton worked in marketing for the fountain business. He was responsible for building customers’ beverage marketing plans based on an understanding of their overall business objectives, strategies and competitive environment leveraging Coca-Cola fountain’s combination of service programs and leading brands.
