Ebro Darden currently holds the position of Vice President Programming for Emmis New York, and is responsible for the continued success of the internationally recognized brand, WQHT FM HOT 97.
Throughout his career, Darden’s determination to succeed and his passion for Hip Hop have helped get him to where he is today. He understands what the Hip Hop culture means to its fans, and is able to portray that in the programming at WQHT. Under his guidance, the HOT 97 morning show has consistently ranked number one in the market and the HOT 97 brand has grown to become a worldwide recognized establishment. Darden prides himself in his ability to keep the station current and young, and encourages HOT 97 to adapt to the changes of traditional broadcasting, including video interviews, live streaming, and digital platforms.
As an Executive Producer of WQHT’s annual concert, HOT 97’s Summer Jam, it is Darden’s responsibility to book the biggest names in Hip Hop for a celebration of the genre. He takes his role seriously, and delivers the biggest Hip Hop party of the year for over 55,000 fans at MetLife Stadium, and millions more viewing the concert’s live stream around the world.
