Beth Rilee-Kelley

Beth has had an interesting journey at The Martin Agency.

She began her career in account management and spent 14 years distinguishing herself
as a strategic planner, team leader and goal-oriented manager. Campaigns under her
supervision consistently garnered both marketing and creative recognition, including
awards from the Effies, The One Show, Communication Arts and the Art Directors Club
(NY). Her work on Healthtex was a finalist in the Kelly Awards competition for three
consecutive years and contributed to the brand being nominated for the AAAA's
prestigious John O'Toole Award as one of the top advertisers/marketers in the country.

Joining the agency in 1983, Beth was responsible for opening and managing the
agency’s first satellite office in Jacksonville, FL, as an account executive on the Barnett
Bank account. In 1997, Beth left account management to take on the role of director of
creative resources and was responsible for the management of the creative department,
including account and job assignments, staffing, recruiting and creative support
services. She also worked closely with Mike Hughes and other senior-level creative
directors on developing and mentoring creative talent.

In 2004, she took on the responsibility of managing human resources and in 2005 was
named partner. In 2011, she assumed the role of chief operating officer.

Beth is a 1983 graduate of the University of Virginia with a degree in communications.
She has been a speaker for the AAF, Advertising Educational Foundation and a mentor in
the MENTOR Richmond program. She is also a member of the Advisory Board for
Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Mass Communications.
