There is no one more committed to being a voice for inclusivity and acceptance within this industry than Felicia. Since being named Deutsch's Director of Diversity and Inclusion in 2008, she has made an impact not just at Deutsch, but also within the advertising community at large and, more importantly, at reaching out to—and cultivating—tomorrow’s diverse talent. With the Agency since 2000, Felicia oversees diversity projects and agendas for all of Deutsch Inc. North America, including offices in New York and Los Angeles.
In recognition of her passion and commitment to diversity and inclusion initiatives, Felicia was honored with the prestigious ADCOLOR Change Agent Award in 2011. She was also awarded the AAF Diversity Achievement Educator award for her efforts to increase awareness of the aspirations, obstacles and performance of minority groups. Additionally, she was named the inaugural recipient of the 4A's MAIP Pantheon Award, which is given to a transformational leader who is highly regarded as a cultivator, supporter and champion of multicultural talent. Felicia was
also instrumental in Deutsch New York winning the 2009 MAIP Service Award, awarded for outstanding dedication to the MAIP program and the success of its alumni.
At the Agency, Felicia instituted the management level Deutsch Diversity & Inclusion Council and spearheaded the formation of D.I.C.E. (Develop. Innovate. Connect. Empower.), the Agency’s employee resource group. In 2010, she organized the re-launch of the GoD+S (Gays of Deutsch and Straights) in support of the Agency’s LGBT community, and helped to organize the DeutschAbilities group, which works to erase the stigmas associated with disabilities in the workplace. Felicia also helped to establish HOOT, the Deutsch service group dedicated to making a difference in the community.
Felicia is proud to support industry initiatives such as ADCOLOR, The One Club, RADE (Roundtable of Advertising Diversity Executives) and TORCH. A 2013 recipient of the TORCH L.I.G.H.T. Award, honoring leadership, inspiration, guidance, heart and teaching to improve the lives of underserved NYC high school students; Felicia has been an integral part in keeping the TORCH burning for the past 13 years.
