Remi Cackel
Remi Cackel is a self-proclaimed data nerd, and in his role as the Chief Data Officer at Teads he uses his vast knowledge of the digital ecosystem to create the Teads data infrastructure from the ground up. He is responsible for leading a global data team that oversees the utilization of Teads proprietary data solutions to support the most sophisticated needs from top clients and publishers internationally.
After pursuing his engineering degree, Remi started his career a decade ago in the travel industry at Amadeus, getting quickly involved in data projects, and helping the company automatically build traveler profiles that deliver smart personalized offers to travel agencies, while efficiently managing traveler loyalty. In less than five years, he was appointed as Product Lead of Travel Audience, Amadeus’ data-driven travel advertising platform, where he focused on delivering an outstanding online advertising performance.
Soon after, when Remi heard that Teads was in search of a Data Product Lead, he seized this opportunity to follow his passion of designing, implementing and deploying an advanced data strategy from scratch. He was able to use his experience to jumpstart their data journey, including managing the roll-out of their new data solutions and DMP that are now used to provide the highest media effectiveness and precision marketing capabilities across the globe, creating a data division with regional business and operational leads, ensuring sustainability by deploying an advanced cookieless strategy to stay ahead of the game, and building new products, partnerships, and commercial offers. These are some of the many ways Remi has managed to make data become a new strong pillar of the Teads global value proposition in a short period of time.
His regular day at Teads consists of being an enabler and managing a transversal data organization where Marketing, Legal, Commercial, Product, Tech, Research & Operations can efficiently work together when it comes to data, while managing, training, and supporting his team of local data leads, ensuring they provide the best data solutions to their customers in all of Teads 30+ markets. In between these tasks, he still tries to set some time aside for strategic activities to stay ahead of the game, including competitive intelligence, partnership management, commercial offering updates and roll-out plans, among others.
Remi’s overall experience has shaped him to be the type of professional that isn’t afraid to go against the grain and break the status quo when he feels that a project could be improved to work more efficiently and show better results. He believes that the most unconventional approach can often lead to the greatest outcome.
