DJ Fat Tony

Starting his career with a bang at the age of 18, playing to thousands every week for Rusty Egan at The Lyceum, Fat Tony has had his say in paving the way for London's current music scene. Early on he won over residencies at the legendary Turnmills for Trade, Ministry Of Sound, Wag Club and Egg to name a few.

He became the head of programming for the iconic West End nightclub, Limelight. He quickly made his mark internationally, holding a weekly show in New York at the Palladium for Steve Rubell during the height of Paradise Garage.

He’s also graced the main floor of Privilege Ibiza, Space, Amnesia & DC10, alongside Boy George, Carl Cox, and Andy Weatherall among many other now-musical icons.

Fat Tony was signed to Defected in 2019. In 2022 he completed a residency at Hï Ibiza, holds a residency at Ministry of Sound and is collaborating with LWE on London-centric headline shows.

Fat Tony has conquered the charts with numerous successes in the 90s and 00s. In 2015 he collaborated with Boy George on a chart-topping remix album of “Nothing Going on But The Rent”. He is currently back in the studio working on new material.

Tony has recently added working with Miley Cyrus, Madonna and his own personal idol Mary J Blige, not to mention one of his proudest moments, working with Lady Fag on the Vienna Life Ball 2017. He continues to work with the legendary New Yorker. Before Covid temporarily shut their studio, Tony hosted his radio show at Rinse FM which expanded to a 2-hour prime Saturday slot with special guest interviews & exclusive mixes.

In 2022, he published his memoirs "I Don't Take Requests" with Hodder & Stoughton. The book quickly became a Sunday Times Bestseller and remained in the Amazon top 100 charts for over 4 months.
