Andrew Odong is the Creator Communities Lead at YouTube, responsible for implementing
strategic initiatives to accelerate the representation of historically marginalised communities. In
this role, he manages #YouTubeBlack Voices Fund which empowers creators to celebrate Black joy and elevate authentic stories on the platform.
Andrew is an unwavering advocate for inclusion, championing underrepresented voices throughout his career. Andrew previously led external partnerships at Meta (formerly Facebook), focusing on senior talent pipelines for underrepresented groups across EMEA offices. He has worked as a Content Programmer for Europe's largest LGBTQ+ film festival, BFI Flare 2018, and co-created the UK's first women in podcasting festival with the ShoutOut Network in 2019.
Outside his professional endeavours, Andrew is an avid GIF user with an unhealthy addiction to beanie hats who simply loves to see people thriving as their most authentic selves - without apology.
