Gizzi Erskine
Gizzi Erskine is an internationally celebrated chef, broadcaster, podcast presenter and award-winning food writer.
Gizzi has trained with honours at Leith’s School of Food and Wine and then went on to work in the kitchens of world-leading chefs and restaurants. She was one of the innovators of the Pop-up restaurant scene doing her first event over 20 years ago and words like pop-up, residency and super club were coined within the scene she was part of way back then. Over the years she has launched and owned multiple restaurants across the UK.
Gizzi has also brought her love of food and cooking to screen, breaking through with her first presenting credit for Cook Yourself Thin (C4), and going on to present the international hit travelogue Seoul Food (Good Food) taking her across Korea. She has numerous credits including Iron Chef, Cookery School, Drop Down Menu, Ones to Watch (Sky One) and more.
Gizzi is also known for her unflinching opinions on everything from dating to politics and friendship. Her witty advice and humour shine through no more than in her number 1 podcast, the much-loved Spotify Original show ‘Sex, Lies and DM Slides’, which she co-created with Sydney Lima.
Gizzi is the author of best-selling cookbooks Restore, Slow, Season’s Eatings, Healthy Appetite and Skinny Weeks and Weekend Feasts, for which she won a Gourmand Award. She has been a columnist for Sunday Times Magazine, and is a regular writer for The Independent, The Sunday Times, Elle, Vogue, GQ and The Evening Standard.
