Buddhika Amis

Buddhika Amis joined Thomson Reuters in 2020 as the Senior Director of Marketing. In this role, Buddhika leads the marketing efforts for Reuters covering Brand, Demand Generation, Integrated Marketing, Audience Development, Marketing Strategy and Operations and the custom content studio, Reuters Plus.

Buddhika started her career as a stockbroker; then transitioned to marketing for a better blend of art and science. Her early marketing career was in the agency side, first serving as an Account Executive at an independent full-service agency and then as a TV producer, working across large advertising agencies such as JWT, Ogilvy and Lowe Worldwide. Moving to the client side, Buddhika spent many years in the financial services sector, where she relished the rigor and results focus of these highly regulated businesses. At HSBC and Visa, she developed the technical skills across the full marketing spectrum before joining Pearson to help the business during a period of major change
