Giselle Mather
What Giselle Mather does not know about top-level rugby union is probably not worth knowing. She competed at the 1991 Women's Rugby World Cup, 1994 Women's Rugby World Cup, where she orchestrated England’s Women’s Rugby World Cup success from fly-half, and the 1998 Women's Rugby World Cup. Giselle is currently employed as Wasps Director of Rugby. Prior to returning to Wasps she helped develop a generation of male talent at London Irish in which she worked with England internationals Joe Cokanasiga, Alex Corbisiero, Jonathan Joseph among many others.
She supports World Rugby’s drive to help more women fill leadership roles within the sport, and feels that opportunities for female coaches – in the men’s and women’s game – women’s game – will only increase with more diversity at boardroom level.
