Anna Hickey

Anna became Wavemaker UK’s Chief Operating Officer in April 2018 after, having been Managing Director of Wavemaker since it’s 2017 inception and Maxus for three years prior.
In her role as Chief Operating Officer, Anna’s vision is to make Wavemaker the best place to work in the UK, whilst also locally championing the agency’s global vision.
Her focus on people has been characteristic of her leadership. She is a passionate advocate of workplace diversity and has built policies and internal culture which champions women, supports working parents and drives social mobility. She launched a highly celebrated apprenticeships scheme that has given permanent roles in her agencies to over 30 school leavers from diverse backgrounds.
Anna is considered an expert on workplace diversity as well as in effective leadership. She is a regular speaker at industry events and also comments frequently in the media with her expert views appearing in key trade press.
