Russell leads development and strategy across all digital platforms for Paris Saint Germain with the aim of enhancing and increasing content for a global audience. This includes social media and platforms including mobile, web, apps, games, e-commerce, VR/AR and messaging.
A graduate of Oxford University followed by post-grad studies in Artificial Intelligence at Edinburgh University, Russell Stopford started his career in his own creative multimedia content companies, winning numerous awards before taking charge of the Manchester City digital and media team in 2011, and directing product development for leading digital sports content provider Perform Group. Last season, Russell was Director of Digital at FC Barcelona.
In his 20 years of experience in digital media, film and TV he has delivered high-profile projects involving A-list talent, celebrities, world-famous brands, publishers, broadcasters and digital businesses.
