Avelino Rodríguez

In 2005 Avelino brought advertising production company The Lift to Mexico. Through its high production standards, he has built The Lift into the leading Production Services company in Mexico, catering for renowned directing talent worldwide.

Avelino's academic background includes a Film General Studies Course in Production at CCC (their first student) and the Harvard Business School OPM Program, where he graduated in 2015. As a Producer he made his first feature in 1994 at the age of 20 and then served as Lot Producer, Head of Production and Chief Operating Officer for some of the most relevant companies at that time, Altavista Films, Argos Comunicacion, and Cineconcepto.

Avelino served as the VP of Circulo Creativo de Mexico, as VP of international the affairs for the AMFI, and currently serves as President for the short film/advertising section of the Mexican Film Industry Chamber. He has been juror for film festivals such as AICP Show, Circulo Creativo de México, Ciclope, Guadalajara Film Festival, Shorts Shorts Film Festival, amongst others and is a regular speaker at film festivals, panels, and universities.
