Behshad Behzadi

Behshad joined Google in 2006, and has been working on various areas of Search during this time, including Core Ranking, Freshness, Safesearch, Google Alerts and Now On Tap. Most recently, as director of Conversational Search, Behshad leads the development on Google Assistant, one of the company’s most important and most challenging computer science projects which enables people to get things done in their world talking to Google in a natural way.

Prior to Google, Behshad graduated from Ecole Polytechnique (X99) where he later pursued his PhD studies in Bioinformatics. He was then a post-doc researcher at the Max Plank Institute for Molecular Genetics, focusing on algorithmic comparative genomics.
