Dr Anna Machin is an evolutionary anthropologist, focusing on the psychology, cognition and neurobiology of human relationships. She played matchmaker for the Channel 4 series Married At First Sight, in which three sets of strangers were paired together based on a variety of factors from genotyping to genetic profiles and even facial symmetry. The couples then met for the first time as they married on TV in front of an audience of millions.
