Jess Cartner-Morley became Fashion Editor of The Guardian in 2000, three years after joining the newspaper as a researcher. She has covered the ready to wear and haute couture catwalk shows for the newspaper and website in Paris, London, New York and Milan since then, alongside reporting on industry news, street style and red carpet fashion, and writing a column in Weekend magazine. As well as designers from Alexander McQueen and Tommy Hilfiger to Victoria Beckham and Stella McCartney, she has interviewed pop cultural figures from Gwyneth Paltrow to Sam Taylor-Wood for the newspaper. Her writing also appears in Vogue, Elle, Harpers Bazaar, and Grazia.
