Lord David Hannay

Lord Hannay is currently the Vice Chair of the European Union Group and the Chair of the United Nations All Party Groups. He has also been the Chair of several Lords Select Committees including the European Union and several EU Sub-Committees.
Outside of his political career, Lord Hannay worked for the Foreign Office for 36 years, which included serving as the Ambassador in New York for five years in the early 90s.
He has also written and edited several books on the EU and his own memoir entitled Britain’s Quest for a Role: A Diplomatic Memoir from Europe to the UN.
